Calling All ACFO Members – Your Vote Counts

Calling All ACFO Members – Your Vote Counts

Next month, the office will be buzzing as we eagerly await the verdict from the Association of Car Fleet Operators (ACFO) on the two Directors that it will be appointing to its Board. In the running is Marshall Leasing’s very own Richard Baird – our hard-working and highly-respected Head of New Business Development.

Richard is already a very familiar face at ACFO. For a staggering 24 years he’s been an active member of the Association, taking on a variety of responsibilities from Secretary to Vice Chairman, to Chairman for London East (a post he has held for the last five years). As a member of the ACFO National Council, and Chair of the ACFO marketing group for the last seven years, no one can say that he hasn’t been dedicated to the cause.

Richard has been an ACFO advocate almost as long as he’s been in the motor industry itself. His experience ranges from working in fleet sales for both private dealer groups and a major vehicle manufacturer, to having been a Fleet Representative for Lex Automotive. He has also gained experience as a General Manager within a dealer group. For the past eight years, however, he has been working in the leasing industry.

“A long career working within both ACFO and the motor industry has given me an invaluable grounding to take on the role as ACFO Director. I would relish this opportunity to lend my experience gained across all aspects of business-to-business sales management to help grow our organisation.” Richard Baird

There is not long to go now until ACFO makes its decision… The results will be announced at the Association’s AGM on 16th May 2013. We wish Rik the very best – we will be waiting with baited breath for the final result.
