The Big Lemon London to Brighton Electric Vehicle Rally 2021

The Big Lemon London to Brighton Electric Vehicle Rally 2021 will be held for the first time on Sunday 18thJuly 2021, to “demonstrate and celebrate the rapid development of electric vehicles and renewable energy”.
The rally, sponsored by sustainable transport pioneer The Big Lemon, will start on the banks of the River Thames and finish on Brighton Beach. The route covers the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Sussex Weald and Ditchling Beacon and the highest point in East Sussex. You can find the full 59-mile route here.
Entry is open to everyone and the categories are as follows:

- City car
- E bike (free to enter)
- Minibus
- Motorbike
- Self-build (free to enter)
- Standard car
- SUV
- Truck
- Van
- Wild-card category: Electric public transport (free to enter)

According to the official website, around 60 vehicles are expected to enter - which will be coming from manufacturers, institutions, individual motoring pioneers and private owners.
The event’s co-founder Tom Druitt said, “We are very excited about the first running of the rally and hope it will become an annual event showcasing the rapid development of electric vehicles and renewable energy.
“We’re very pleased to have the support of such high-profile companies such as the RAC which is clearly leading the way in looking after the breakdown needs of electric vehicle owners.”
