Fleet Concerns with Road Conditions and Congestion

Unfortunately for petrol heads, frustrations on the road are not a rarity. For many of you who live and work in and around London, the M25 can often become a car park which is not ideal. For those who operate in slightly more rural locations, there’s nothing quite like hitting a deep pothole and waking up in the morning to find a burst tyre.
For fleet decision-makers, improving roads and reducing congestion is unsurprisingly top the list of what is required. Research published by Fleet News discovered that from a survey of 3,930 fleets, they found that more than half (54%) of respondents want to see road conditions improved, and a further 47% of fleet decision-makers say that the Government should concentrate their efforts on tackling congestion across the country.
Further aspects of this conducted research found that one-third (30%) of fleet decision-makers wanted the Government to, in the future, incentivise newer fuel options such as electric and hydrogen, while a further 20% of respondents wanted an overall improvement on UK public transport. The final 18% of responses stated that they wanted the Government to do more to reduce pollution caused by road transport.
