These are the companies committing to electrification

In recent weeks we’ve seen announcements from Jaguar Land Rover and Volvo, who have committed to becoming purely electric from 2025, as well as Bentley who will launch its first electric model in 2025 and reach full electrification by 2030.
Jaguar Land Rover also announced that it will launch six new purely electric models in the next five years and every model in its range will have an electric option by 2030, including a zero-emissions Range Rover from 2024.
Jaguar Land Rover CEO Thierry Bollore said, “Jaguar will exist to make life extraordinary by creating dramatically beautiful automotive experiences that leave its customers feeling unique and rewarded.”
Bentley Motors Ltd CEO Adrian Hallmark said, “This is profound change for the industry, and we want to lead that change. We’re not frightened by it, we’re inspired by it.
“The most important thing is not to just make electric cars: we’ve got to make Bentleys. We’ve got to take 100 years of Bentley DNA and put it in a modern content.”
Ford has also pledged that its entire commercial vehicle range will be zero-emissions capable by 2024, spearheaded by a $1billion (£720million) investment to remodel its vehicle assembly facility in Cologne, Germany.
Ford of Europe president Stuart Rowley said, “We successfully restructured Ford of Europe and returned to profitability in the fourth quarter of 2020. Now we are charging into an all-electric future in Europe with expressive new vehicles and a world-class connected customer experience.
“We expect to continue our strong momentum this year in Europe and remain on track to deliver our goal of a six percent EBIT margin as part of Ford’s plan to turnaround our global automotive operations.”
