Marshall Leasing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

July 12th and 13th saw the Marshall Leasing team accompanied by 60 customers descend on the Southern town of Chichester for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The highly anticipated event, hosted by the Marshall sales team, was the largest in our history and once again proved to be a hugely enjoyable two days, blessed with good weather (mostly) and as always great company.
Wednesday 12th was a customer focused evening at the picturesque Langrish House. The historic English Manor hosted the now famous Marshall Leasing barbeque and networking event. The chaps from Churchill manned the grill and delivered a superb evening meal, supported by the Marshall Leasing sales team who were on sous chef duties. The rain refused to break for more than 30 minutes at a time but spirits were high and everybody had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Nissan GB generously supported the event with four beautiful demonstration vehicles, although some attention had to be given to the bright orange Lamborghini also on site for the evening!
Thursday July 13th was the main event, with what felt like half of England attempting to access the Festival! Certainly this was the busiest Thursday Marshall Leasing had seen over the many years of attendance, as Goodwood continues to expand with more cars and exhibitors than ever before.
The weather was perfect, allowing for a full day of hill climb action and static displays. The manufacturers presented their latest innovations, once again focusing on electrification and innovation. The historic racers provided great entertainment and the track action didn’t stop for a moment.
Marshall Leasing hosted customers at the Goodwood Bar & Grill, commandeering the entire patio and marquee area. The two hour lunch allowed for informal discussions and customer interaction, accompanied this year by a wonderful singing duo keeping the guests entertained throughout.
Customers shared stories of Goodwood experiences, interspersed with the ongoing challenges and considerations in their fleets today, particularly around vehicle availability and supply. It certainly seems that despite the vast amounts of new vehicles on display at the Festival, acquiring them in any meaningful volumes continues to be a different story.
