Are you immune to London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ)?

On Tuesday August 29 2023, the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) expanded across all London Boroughs.

It's very likely that your fleet vehicles are compliant with the ULEZ emission standards. However, the ULEZ changes may impact your friends, family members and other contacts who attend meetings and events within the Greater London area in the future.

We have produced a factsheet with key information that you might find helpful to share with your colleagues. 

Estimates from earlier in the year showed that around 700,000 drivers of vehicles which do not meet the emissions standards will be charged a daily fee of £12.50 to enter the new zone.

According to Transport for London, around 90.5 per cent of all vehicles within Greater London are ULEZ compliant.
 
Interestingly, TfL also found that the outskirts of London host the lowest proportion of ULEZ-compliant vehicles. In this area, only 85 per cent were estimated to meet the emissions standards as of January 2023, not including vehicles from bordering counties such as Kent, Hertfordshire and Essex. It is estimated that 160,000 non-compliant cars will drive through the expanded zone each day.
